USA Roadtrip

  1. Dusk over ridge after ridge of conifer forest in the Sierra Nevada, the horizon banded orange and pink through haze.
  2. The hoodoos of Bryce Canyon lit orange by the low sun, ranks of eroded sandstone spires stepping down into the amphitheatre.
  3. The Golden Gate Bridge disappearing into fog, its far tower half-hidden, two people walking the pedestrian path between the red railings.
  4. Horseshoe Bend from the rim: the green Colorado River wrapped in a full loop around a sandstone butte under a cloudless sky.
  5. Zion Canyon seen from the Angels Landing trail, sheer red sandstone walls above a green valley floor and the pale braided riverbed.
  6. The Grand Canyon in flat midday light, layer upon layer of eroded rock with the Colorado River a thin green thread far below.
  7. The Las Vegas Strip at night: the half-scale Eiffel Tower lit blue and magenta, the neon Paris balloon sign, and taxis crossing Las Vegas Boulevard.
